IMV RELEASES NEW “BEHIND THE PLAYER” DVD
FEATURING DAN JACOBS – THE GUITARIST FOR ATREYU
LOS ANGELES, CA — February 17th, 2009 — IMV LLC announces the release of a new Interactive Music Video in the Behind the Player series featuring Dan Jacobs. Dan is the ripping guitar player from Atreyu whose unique style offers a fresh approach to classic shredding.
The IMV: Behind the Player DVD series -- which features personal music lessons from members of some of the world’s most influential bands like KoRn, Godsmack, Ozzy Osbourne, Slipknot and Velvet Revolver -- provides music fans with an exciting new way to learn their to play favorite songs: right from the artists that recorded them.
In his IMV: Behind the Player DVD, Dan gives an intimate behind-the scenes look at his life as a professional musician – including rare photos and video footage. He gives in-depth lessons for how to play “Becoming the Bull” by Atreyu and “Falling Down” by Atreyu; then jams the tracks with Atreyu drummer Brandon Saller.
The DVD also includes exclusive VideoTab™, which was transcribed in collaboration with Dan and shows exactly how he plays the two tracks. The video-game-style animated tablature is similar to GuitarHero®, except shows how to play the tracks for real.
“The VideoTab on these Behind the Player DVD’s is sick – it’s a lot like Guitar Hero, but actually shows how the artist plays his part in the tracks. It’s about time that someone came up with a cooler and more dynamic way to do tablature.” said Dan Jacobs. “It was a lot of fun working with the guys at IMV to produce the DVD.
