LOS ANGELES, CA — November 18, 2008 — IMV LLC announces the release of a new Interactive Music Video featuring James ‘Munky’ Shaffer. Munky is the ground-breaking lead guitarist for the two-time Grammy® Award winning band KoRn. Munky’s crushing dissonant sound has made him a guitar hero to millions worldwide.
The IMV: Behind the Player DVD series -- which features personal music lessons from members of some of the world’s most influential bands like Godsmack, Ozzy Osbourne, Slipknot, Atreyu and Velvet Revolver -- provides music fans with an exciting new way to learn their to play favorite songs: right from the artists that recorded them.
In his IMV: Behind the Player DVD, Munky gives an intimate behind-the scenes look at his life as a professional musician – including rare photos and video footage. He gives in-depth lessons for how to play “Blind” released in 1995 and “Falling Away From Me” released in 1999; then jams the tracks with KoRn drummer Ray Luzier.
The DVD also includes exclusive VideoTab™, which shows exactly how Munky plays the two tracks. The video-game-style animated tablature is similar to GuitarHero®, except shows how to play the tracks for real.
